United against genocide: Understand, question, prevent
What is a genocide? How can it be prevented and why is it important to remember? These are examples of the issues explored in this 5 years project.

2014-2015: The Search for Justice

With a rich selection of images, archives and interviews with experts, understand how the justice is part of the fight against denial and the prevention of genocide. Justice also allows victims to have their suffering recognized and thus she "allowed" to rebuild their lives.

2013-2014: The Transmission of the Memory

Through testimonies and artefacts gathered by Rwandan, Cambodian, Armenian and Jewish communities understand the importance of passing on their experience to current and future generations, while discovering objects and pictures that reflect both a rich past lost forever and the persecutions and impacts of genocidal crimes.

This exhibition was created by the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre and made possible thanks to the Alex and Ruth Dworkin Foundation, in partnership with le Comité national arménien du Québec, l'Association des Parents et Amis des Victimes du Génocide au Rwanda and, the Centre khémara.
