Do you know someone who should featured on this site?

Why nominate someone?

Help give exposure to important human rights work! We profile Montreal-based young human rights advocates of all backgrounds, who work in a variety of fields and settings. By featuring these actions, we hope to connect people working towards similar goals and to engage citizens to take a stand for human rights.

If you know someone involved in human rights initiatives, please consider nominating them to be profiled on this site.  Please note that you CAN nominate yourself!

We are currently prioritizing human rights work being done in areas most directly related to lessons learned from the Holocaust: genocide prevention, education and awareness, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, anti-racism initiatives, and immigrant and refugee issues.  However, we welcome applicants from a broad background of advocacy work.

Nominees can be doing work in any of the following areas:

  • Genocide prevention, education and awareness
  • Intercultural and interfaith dialogue
  • Anti-racism initiatives
  • Immigrant and refugee issues
  • Gender equality
  • LGBT rights
  • Rights of seniors
  • Disability rights
  • Freedom of speech
  • Anti-poverty activism
  • Access to health care and/or housing

Nominees can be working in any of the following settings:

  • In grassroots movements and organizations
  • In non-profit associations and cooperatives
  • In academia
  • In the private sector
  • In politics
  • As volunteers
  • As teachers
  • As fundraisers/philanthropists
  • In the arts and/or media

We encourage applicants and nominations of individuals from equality-seeking groups.
